The Missouri League for Nursing (MLN) Board of Directors is pleased to announce this program to assist you in making decisions regarding donations to charity. The MLN is a 50lc(3) organization and qualifies as a "public" charity by the IRS. Your contributions will assist MLN in meeting its mission to support the delivery of quality health care by nurses and other health care providers through education, collaboration, and information.

OVERVIEW OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR PLANNED GIVING

Bequests - Leave your legacy by making a gift in your will to the MLN Charitable Trust. Be as clear as possible in describing to your attorney what you want to be given and to whom when preparing your will.

Retained Life Estate - One of your valued possessions, your home, can become a valued gift to us while you are still living in it, and even if you want your spouse or other survivor to live there for a given time. Such an arrangement is called a retained life estate.

Charitable Remainder Trust - What are your plans for the future? While there is no single way to achieve all of your financial goals, a charitable remainder trust can meet many of your needs. This plan allows you to make a substantial donation to charity, generate higher income, reduce estate taxes, and create substantial income tax benefits.

Charitable Gift Annuity - Provides a valuable tax benefit for the donor. Perhaps more valuable than the financial advantages of the tax benefit is the satisfaction you gain by helping to continue the mission and activities of the Missouri League for Nursing.

Charitable Lead Trust - An excellent way to provide an inheritance to your family and make a significant charitable gift through your estate. You control your assets and decide the amount and length of time the trust will contribute to the charity. At the end of that time, the assets in the trust are then distributed to the heirs you identify in your estate planning.

Wealth Replacement Trust - This method utilizes life insurance and allows you to make a sizable contribution to the Missouri League for Nursing now to help meet our current needs but does not reduce the estate you will pass to your family.
