Structure

The Board of Directors leads the activities of the MLN and includes officers, committee chairs, and representatives from nine (9) units: Kansas City, Kirksville, Mark Twain, Mid-Central, Ozark Scenic Rivers, Pony Express, St. Louis, Southeast Missouri, and Springfield.

MLN Units

Unit Chair Responsibilities

Serve on the board for a two-year term.
Provide suggestions for future continuing education offerings that are relevant to your unit.
Market workshops in your unit.
Locate future workshop facilities according to MLN policy.
Attend quarterly board meetings.
Recruit volunteers to serve as workshop coordinators and committee members.
Write one article per year for newsletter.

How to become a unit chairperson

If you want to become involved in the MLN by becoming a unit chairperson, all you need to do is complete the Consent Form and mail it to the MLN at P.O. Box 104476, Jefferson City, Missouri 65110-4476. The next time the unit position becomes available, your name will be given to the Nominating Committee who will determine the nominees for the unit positions.
